About the Sports Shed

The Sports Shed has been on a mission since 2009 to provide sports related resources to schools and organizations who lack funding for successful athletics. Over the last 13 years they have reached over 90,000 kids, donated over 150,000 items, and brought over 2 million dollars to programs on the south and west side of Chicago.

Equipment Drive

The Sports Shed accepts items that are new or very gently used, please make sure the items donated are of good quality. The most needed items include: basketballs, footballs, baseballs, softballs, tennis balls, cleats, bats, and tennis rackets. The items we do not accept: used clothing, gym equipment, snow sports gear, and bicycles. Please refer to Chandler Hames if you have any questions
